17. All out.
The motto of life — go hard or go home. Fitness requires all out effort. If you don’t challenge yourself your body will never change and/or grow.
18. A nice pain in the ass to have.
This goes for squats and deadlifts as well.
19. The mantra of life.
Very strong words of wisdom on how to live healthy, fit, and happy.
20. Understand the difference.
“Skinny” is an insult to anyone who busts their ass in the gym and/or lift weights — it connotes a lack of muscle tone to anyone that has any. Only until you have a little bit of muscle will you truly understand this statement. That in and of itself should be motivating.

When I'm not working on my abs (or somebody else’s), whipping up Eggocados and avocado toast, or running a Tough Mudder, I'm probably yelling at a Carolina Panthers game somewhere.
