[Monday Motivation] 10 Insanely Inspirational Pictures To Feed Your Motivational Furnace, V1
Today’s Blue Monday, aka the most depressing day of 2014. While it might seem unfair, unbearable, and intolerably cruel to return back to work after a long holiday break (and potentially a radiantly sunny vaca), we’re here to instill a little hope — we’ve got 10 little bombs of inspiration to motivate you through the start of the week.
If you’re down and out, it’s a phenomenal opportunity to reset and recharge. And for many, that starts with the things that you know and control best — your body and mind. Kick off the year with a fresh new workout plan, revamp your diet, and take care of yourself as an upgraded person.
Once health and fitness are set, everything else falls in place afterwards.
Carpe annum.
1. Repel negativity.
“An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you” — Goi Nasu
2. Find your inner Walter White.
Don’t be paralyzed by fear or the thought of what could-be. Take action, take calculated risks, work hard, and enjoy the ride.
3. Change is beautiful.
“One of the great moments in life is realizing that two weeks ago you body couldn’t do what it just did.”
One of the most enchanting things about fitness is the ability to see real change literally manifest itself in your own physical being. Experience that moment for yourself and let it drive you — it’s magical, and glorious.
4. Ups & downs.

Whether you’re trying to drop pounds, add strength, or build lean muscle mass, it’s never a straight shot to whatever your goal might be.
Stay positive. Expect ups and downs; backtracking and slingshotting forward; and unexpected challenges along the way (maybe an injury, weight gain despite hard work, or general trouble getting to the gym or eating clean).
Control what you can, work your butt off, and make the best choices possible given any situation. If you’re stalling for TOO long, honestly assess your actions and see where you’ve cheated yourself — there’s always something holding you back (in that case).
5. Start DOING.

“One of the most profound concepts in psychology is the fact that when you do something (actions), your emotions follow along behind. If you wait around to feel good or non-anxious, you’ll be waiting forever. You need to start DOING, and then you will BECOME. — Sean Cooper
Flip the script. Let actions drive your emotions, attitude, and mental state.
Don’t become a prisoner in your own mind. And if you do, a quick workout is always an easy tool to pump endorphins and create a quick burst of positive energy.
