Although eating clean has its benefits, every once in a while I get reminiscent for the old days when I would consume anything that tasted good. Well, with a little creativity you can enjoy many of the treats you used to have, except in a much healthier version.

For me, one of things I would crave every so often would be one of those chocolate mocha Frappuccinos from Starbucks. Fortunately, it wasn’t too difficult to make a delicious alternative that’s packed with protein, low in fat, and delicious…did I mention it’s delicious? Try it out yourself!

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
  • 3 oz espresso or concentrated coffee*
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 60 g greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 3 packets stevia

*I make this using my Aeropress coffee maker. As an alternative you can make an 8 oz cup of coffee and put the coffee in an ice cube tray, freeze, and then make the recipe without regular ice. Additionally, you can use instant coffee although I don’t think it comes out as well that way.

Optional Ingredients:
  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp ground flax seed

Directions:

1) Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it reaches desired consistency.
