Arctic Zero — Eat the WHOLE Pint, Guilt Free, For Only 150 Calories
The next time you decide to cozy up with Ryan Gosling and The Notebook, go completely HAM — let the streams of tears pour down your cheeks, gulp down a few glasses of red wine (it has powerful antioxidants!), and stuff your face with an entire PINT of Arctic Zero frozen yogurt.
You might be pondering: “um…this is a health and fitness website, why in the world is he telling me to eat a pint of ice cream!? Doesn’t that have like a BAZILLION calories, enough sugar to kill a small child, and the fat of 1,000 seventeenth-century kings!?”
Well young Padawan, I’m about to rock your world.
One ENTIRE pint of Arctic Zero runs only 150 fat-free calories; compare that to a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia, which packs 1,000 calories and nearly 100 grams of sugar. If you really wanted to, you could have SIX pints of Arctic Zero — count ’em SIX — for fewer calories than one pint of most Ben & Jerry’s flavors.
It gets better — it also has 14 grams of high quality whey protein and 8 grams of heart-healthy fiber, all for only 20 grams of sugar. It’s essentially a glorified Chobani Greek Yogurt, except that it actually feels indulgence-y.
Flavors & Taste
Arctic Zero currently comes in 8 flavors:
- Chocolate
- Chocolate Peanut Butter
- Coffee
- Cookies & Cream
- Mint Chocolate Cookie
- Strawberry
- Vanilla Maple
- Seasonal Flavors (Pumpkin Spice, etc.)
While I can only speak to the mint chocolate cookie, vanilla maple, and strawberry, it actually has a really pleasant taste and consistency. It’s creamy and lightly sweet, and tastes exactly like the flavor advertised. I was thoroughly impressed, honestly expecting it to taste like watered down goopy sludge.
*One note of caution: DO NOT engage the pint thinking it’ll taste like Ben & Jerry’s — you’ll be underwhelmed, disgruntled, and presumably unleash your anger back on me.
The stuff has 150 calories for the entire pint! Give it a little leeway.
