Only 20% of women strength train,1 which, according to my math, means that the overwhelming majority of women have never indulged an activity that burns body fat, builds lean muscle definition, stokes metabolism, AND fortifies bones. Simultaneously.

Here’s an official PSA: women — you need to strength train, in some capacity. It doesn’t even have to be with iron; resistance bands, TRX, medicine balls, calisthenics, cables, et al. all count. And no, you won’t slap on Hulk-like muscle, magically grow a beard and armpit hair, or watch your booty disappear (unless you’re taking HGH, steroids, or intentionally manipulating hormone levels).

Just stop it with that excuse.

We’ve already highlighted 18 benefits of weight-lifting in-depth; this infographic from DailyBurn takes it step further and lays out THIRTY massively powerful benefits of strength training. That’s potent.

START. LIFTING. THINGS.
