[Recipes] The Cinnamon-Cheerio-Flax Greek Yogurt Parfait
Between granola, faux fruit, and disgusting artificial syrups, most yogurt parfaits are unhealthy sugar-filled abominations. We reconstructed the yogurt parfait from the ground up and created one of the most unbelievably healthy super-concoctions on earth — the Cinnamon-Cheerio-Flax Greek Yogurt Parfait.
This big, beautiful, layered masterpiece starts with a foundation of creamy, protein-rich 2% FAGE Greek Yogurt and ascends skyward with strata of flax seed, Cheerios, and a drizzle of fluffy cinnamon. It’s a tower of the most powerful superfoods on earth — dive in, mix it up, and watch the stellar health benefits pour straight into your belly.
The Cinnamon-Cheerio-Flax Greek Yogurt Parfait
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Servings: 1
Directions
Empty one 2% FAGE Total Greek Yogurt into the bottom of a parfait/small glass.
Add 2 tbsp. fresh ground flax seeds followed by 1/4 cup of original Cheerios.
Sprinkle with a few healthy shakes of enjoy. Mix, stir, and enjoy.
Ingredients:
- 1 FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt - it packs 20 grams of HQ protein and 20% DV calcium.
- 2 Tbsp. Ground Flax Seed (I recommend Spectrum Organic Flax Seed) — flax seeds are one of the most ridonkulouly healthy foods on earth. One 2 tbsp serving contains 2.7 g of heart-healthy, anti-inflammatory omega 3’s, 3 g of protein, 4 g of waist-friendly fiber, and only 1 g of net carbs.
- 1/4 Cup Original Cheerios — a classic that remains a top cereal option. They’re essentially oats in O form. Low in sugar and fat, high in fiber, minimal additives, and made primarily with low GI oats/whole grains.
- Cinnamon — a brown, magical miracle powder. It adds sweetness — yet has no calories — is a ridiculously potent antioxidant, helps control blood sugar levels, and can reduce arthritis pain.
