Andrew asked:
“My questions are…
Should I be comfortable buying All Max Hexapro powder? Is it good stuff?
I’m don’t eat a good breakfast. Usually 1 serving of yogurt. What should I add to it to keep my protein intake high? I’m looking to stay lean, build muscle – get cut.”
- It’s average at best, I personally wouldn’t recommend it. Given your goals, I’d go with a whey concentrate that’s a bit more natural — you’ll save money and get a more versatile powder. I like MRM All-Natural and Jarrow Whey.
- Assuming you don’t have any issues with lactose, I’d recommend Definitely check out our Protein Powder Buyer’s Guide if you haven’t already, it’s a great primer and market analysis.
- What about eggs/egg whites (preferably with some tomatoes and spinach)? Greek yogurt and protein smoothies are also quick-and-easy options.

What makes you recommend MRM and Jarrow? I just looked at the Protein levels, both are sub 20Grams. Should I care about that?
November 30, 2014 at 9:26 pm #201Overall quality combined with price. They’re both pure and all-natural without any artificial sweeteners or colors, and the whey itself is high quality. If you’re chugging enough protein powder, I’d try not to use a brand that’s pumped with artificial crap. Price-wise, they’re inexpensive on a per pound and per serving basis.
I’m also a big fan of the flavor, they’re not as obnoxiously sweet as some other big brands (i.e. Optimum Gold Standard).
Nope, I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Shoot for 2 scoops (36g) post-workout though.
